imc CRONOSflex: input modules

As part of the imc CRONOS family, the new imc CRONOSflex continues the tradition for supporting direct measurements of virtually any sensor available for mechanical, electromechanical, and mechatronic measurements. Multi-channel mixed signals, whether analog inputs, counters and incremental encoder inputs, or field bus based signals such as CAN-bus, GM LAN or LIN… you name it: imc CRONOSflex measures it.

Modular measurements
With up to 100kSps per channel, and now supporting up to 2 million samples per second throughput in each base unit, as well as having software configurable high precision signal conditioners and integrated sensor power supplies - the imc CRONOSflex can take on even the toughest data acquisition challenges, while performing at high precision under demanding environmental conditions.

The most striking feature of the imc CRONOSflex system is the imc Click Mechanism - you can add or remove signal-conditioned analog input channels from your imc CRONOSflex system in seconds by simply "clicking" a module on or off the stack. The module's rigid case and automatic recognition by the imc STUDIO software provide the ultimate in flexible modularity. Alternatively, the imc CRONOSflex Modules may be distributed, connected with the base unit or other satellite blocks via standard Ethernet cable.

As with all imc data acquisition system inputs, the imc CRONOSflex Modules integrate signal conditioning, analog filtering, high precision 24-bit digitizers, and digital signal processing. As such, a variety of modules are available from imc—from the general purpose universal 8-channel UNI2-8 module (CRFX/UNI2-8), to more measurement specific modules.

8-channel Universal Input Module

The imc CRONOSflex Multipurpose Module (CRFX/UNI2-8) is ideal for measurements requiring many different types of signal conditioning, or where the signal conditioning requirements are unknown or likely to change. The 8 differential, analog input channels enable not only the measurement of voltage, current and IEPE/ICP sensors, but also direct measurement of temperature (thermocouples and PT100 / RTD), resistive bridges and strain gauge (full-, half- and 120 or 350 Ohm quarter bridge directly supported).

For the powering of external sensors or resistive bridge measurements, a software selectable (2.5 V to 24 V) sensor supply is included.

UNI-4

4-channel, universal module with isolation

The imc CRONOSflex universale module (CRFX/UNI-4) offers maximum flexibility and versatility. The 4 channels enable not only the measurement of voltage, current and the connection of IEPE (ICP)-sensors but also temperature (thermocouples, PT100 and PT1000), bridges and strain gauges (full-, half- and quarter bridge with internal completion: 120 , 350 and 1 k ).
Channel-wise independently configurable supply voltages between 0.25 V to 24 V are provided for the supply of external sensors respectively bridge measurement.
The channels are individually galvanically isolated for the voltage measurement, current and thermocouple measurement. Each channel is equipped with an own simultaneous A/D converter and adjustable filter (e.g., anti-aliasing filter).

8-channel Module for High Resolution measurements of voltage and current

The imc CRONOSflex high resolution voltage, current* and IEPE/ICP* Module (CRFX/LV3-8), enables per channel software adjustable sampling rates of up to 100 kSamples/s/channel. With a very high analog bandwidth of 48 kHz per channel, the module is suitable for the measurements through the entire electromechanical range, including sound and vibration signals. Due to its highly dynamic input voltage range between +/- 0.005 V full scale and up to +/- 60 V full scale, and over voltage protection extending up to 80 V, it ensures reliable measurements in virtually any application.

The imc CRONOSflex High-Precision Module (CRFX/ISO2-8) with 8 isolated channels is ideal for the measurement of:

The ISOF-8 is an isolated differential amplifier with 8 galvanically isolated channels for highly accurate measurement of:

The imc CRONOSflex Module high isolation module (CRFX/HISO-8) enables measurement of low voltage signals riding on a high or indeterminate common mode level of up to 800 V, including:

With the HV-2U2I four-channel amplifier, two channels can be used for measuring voltages up to 1000 V, and two channels are available to measure with current probes.

The imc CRONOSflex Audio Measurement Module (CRFX/AUDIO2-4) is specially designed for acquisition of sound and vibration data.
In addition, acquisition using ICP™ - or DeltaTron-Sensors®.
The module can be used for very precise measurements over a wide voltage range. It stands out by a very large signal to noise and high signal fidelity. In combination with the wide bandwidth and the 24 bit resolution, a broad scope of measurement applications are covered.
Next to each signal input at the front of the module there is a LED for a cable breakage recognition in measurement mode/coupling "AC with current feed"

4-channel charge- and audio measurement module

The imc CRONOSflex charge amplifier module (CRFX/QI-4) is especially suited for quasi-static as well as dynamic charge measurements. By means of piezoelectric sensors, it is possible to measure forces, pressure and acceleration, as well as to perform analysis of solid-borne noise such as that occurring in engine indication on vehicle test stands.
As an alternative to standard BNC terminals, triaxial terminals are available which allow the use of charge sensors with built-in TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet).
The module is additionally designed for acoustical measurements and vibration analysis with current-fed IEPE sensors such as ICP™-, DeltaTron®-, and PiezoTron® sensors are supported. Further, the module can be used for high-precision measurement across a wide voltage range.
The module features a very high signal-to-noise ratio and high fidelity. In combination with its large bandwidth of around 50 kHz and its 24-bit resolution, a wide scope of applications can be covered. The separate galvanic isolation for each channel provides for robust, interference-free signal capture.
Next to each measurement input on the CRFX/QI-4 module’s front panel, there is an LED for the purpose of cable break monitoring in the measurement mode/coupling "AC with current fed".

在城市道路交通中,变速箱和汽车其他传动零件的应力很大。为检测薄弱点以洞察变速箱的生命周期,德国FORD花了最大功夫在测试变速箱上。在它最新装备的自动测试台,在科隆的FORD选择了imc科技去采集和评价测量的数据。


对测试台的要求非常高。高达10通道的采样率500Hz是必然要求。除此之外,对特定信号事件需有高达64类计数矩阵同时计算。给每个测试站专配一个µ-MUSYCS测量系统以符合规范。为此软件有专门编写的对话使矩阵以及计数过程参数化。


结果矩阵,反过来,根据雨流(能级分布水平——LDC)或其他计数程序提供基本信息。除了这些数据,还包含使用过的齿轮和被选择的应力分布,因为不同齿轮和不同应力分布导致这不同矩阵的集合。

    

像正在使用的齿轮等信息直接从测试站控制系统或者,不可以的话,齿轮信息也能直接从齿轮箱的传入/传出RPM比中分离出来。所有这些计算必须在线显示,这样,“直播”的数据监视曲线让FORD工程师看到试验进程。基于imc报告生成器的实时报告很容易完成。结果自动存储在数据库;离线数据评估可用FAMOS,即imc的离线数据评价软件。
